Restaurant Review Bravo Brick Oven Pizzeria

Ambiance: The ambience is exactly what you’d expect in a clean, well-run pizza shop, except that there are long glass-protected counters so you can see all the food offered on display: pizzas first, then fresh salads, then the entrees of the day.
Service: It was fast and personal, whether to go or dine-in
Experience: After getting a great doctor’s report for both of us, we were set to have a special luncheon dining experience to celebrate continued good health. We sat in front of a well known and chi-chi restaurant (that shall remain nameless since it doesn’t fit the Cheap Eater profile) and looked at the menu. I choked on the prices and said “No way can I think about spending that much just for lunch!” So we moseyed on over to Bravo Pizza, where we had had an exceptional meal previously. It was a repeat of an exceptional meal for a small price with leftovers we couldn’t eat that made for lunch the next day. I ordered a beautiful eggplant rollatini, and the server asked me if I wanted sauce with it—yes. Bob got a penne pasta with meat sauce and a small Greek salad, which was almost too big to split between us. Everything was fresh and delicious and generous.
Menu: The variety of pizzas alone is great, with 24 selections. I had gotten a Mediterranean slice before—unforgettable, spinach, sundried tomatoes, Greek olives, feta cheese, roasted peppers, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, generously piled onto a huge slice. All dishes are freshly made and with no stinting on ingredients. They also have a well-priced catering menu, which I would consider for easy entertaining, in half-trays and full trays. They post daily specials on their chalkboard out front. I saw a separate case with a dessert that looked wonderful, so I asked what it was. “Tiramisu,” he answered. I couldn’t allow myself, but it sure looked good.
Total Bill: About $26, with no tip needed. They had a sign on the register that read “10% discount on cash.” Now, that’s cheap eatin’!
Additional Comments: They don’t have delivery except for business delivery and maybe large catering orders. They also do fundraisers.
